Swine Flu On The Rise In The Caribbean

Heard on the local news last night that more and more cases are being reported throughout the Caribbean.
(excerpt)
http://www.caribbean360.c...07753.html
...Official reports say there have been nearly 30,000 cases globally and 141 deaths with figures rising daily.
Among those are 120 infections in the region, the majority of them (91) in the Dominican Republic.
That is the only country in the Caribbean that has recorded any fatalities - a pregnant teenager who died last Friday.
The other Caribbean countries that have confirmed cases are Bahamas, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago...

As of this mornin, there have been more.
Wats strange is that islands to the North (Dominica) and South (Trinidad and Tobago) of my island (Grenada) have been gettin confirmed cases,
yet we have none here...but the islands are small, tight-knit and close.
West Indians travel between countries all the time and have only been payin close attention recently with the outbreak of so many deaths.
So now I'm wonderin if there are cases here and health officials aren't sayin anything...
and I don't think we're equipped enuff to deal with it sad
Ppl walk around wit the common cold here all the time,
it's trivial,
nobody dies from it here,
u catch it, eat some fruits, drink some herbal teas and it's gone,
we don't have to get shots for it either...
so nobody takes it seriously,
which is why anyone of with the cold us can be walkin around with swine flu.
It'll be a sad, sad day in Paradise sad
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh
