you did the right this by NOT hitting him, something tells me that he would of hit you right back. Safety first, and your instinct was the right one. Oh, and yeah, file charges on that punk.
To answer your original question posed.... I had a man grope me, I did the same, I just got outta there. I know that men who have no personal boundaries and like to paw you, have no respect for women in general. A man like that is usually violent and likes to establish his dominance in a physical way. It could have been a black eye or rape if he had enough time with you or if you got "mouthy". Flight is always better if you can leave unscathed and remember, you can always fight another day. Never be alone with him again and tell all those involved. His wife, your man, and all the men in your family. Bet you they'll set his ass straight. [Edited 6/17/09 17:46pm]

reminds me of these two boys around 12 that got in trouble for touching this girls butt...they were put in a detention center for months...you have to tell your kids not to touch girls or women in a sexual manner. unlucky7 reincarnated

Yes, I agree parents must educate their kids about touching and respect of another person's body, just as others must respect theirs. Put it on my to do list.

i think that small smarmy group of men that are creeps know that chances are they can get away with it and so keep trying it and keep trying it. power, entitlement, for some. for the second creep, he's such a sorry excuse for a man that it's probably born out of his own sense of failure. i dunno. what do you think? I don't know, but I do know that guys like that depend on the silence of women to get away with it. Sorry about your experience. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
