Back in April I NEARLY fell for one.
While we were in USA, I logged in to my email via webmail at several different locations. The message I got from my ISP was that my account was suspended due to suspicious multiple log-ins from different locations - which was actually true - total coincidence! But since my account kept working just fine, I thought I won't act on it until I got home. I also got an email to say my download limit had been exceeded, but my mum back home doesn't know how to use the interent confuse so I started thinking maybe someone was stealing our wireless. I logged in to the ISP actual site to check usage and it looked normal (no usage). Again, I decided to ring them when I got home. I did, and they asked for all emails to be forwarded to them for research. Total scam! These emails had very similar email addresses to the actual ISP and emails had their logo as a header. :disblelief: you don't have to be stupid to fall for it!

Silly guy! That's why I have premium Hotmail. I pay $29.99 a month to guard against being taken by spammers like that. It was an odd upgrade -- I got an e-mail about it, some 10 years ago.

Anyway, they bill my credit card once, sometimes twice, a month -- but at least I don't have to deal with criminal scams like that. It's the Cadillac of spam filters.

hah! Supa Poor schmuck.

they make it sound like they are targetting dormant accounts. I use mine every day. To make matters worse, I can't figure out how to contact anyone. A reply to my email came back undeliverable.
