Rank these comics?

Y'all are probably wonderin' how this topic came up and why I chose this group of comedians? Well, I Was at another forum, and there was a topic about who was better, Chis Rock or Chris Tucker. I mean, it's a landslide really. But they were actually lettin' Tucker hang around over their. SO I thought of some of his contemporaries from his era (that In Living Color/Def Comedy Jam era of comics, and this is what I came up of.) These guys were either better than Tucker or slightly below him.

In No Order:
Bill Bellamy
Cedric 'the Entertainer'
Dave Chappelle
Mark Curry
Tommy Davidson
Jamie Foxx
David Alan Grier
Eddie Griffin
Martin Lawrence
Steve Harvey
D.L. Hughley
Bernie Mac
Tracy Morgan
Chris Rock
Guy Torry
Joe Torry
Chris Tucker
Damon Wayans

Chris Rock is probably the most acclaimed comic out f the list with his stand-up specials getting the most recognition. 'Bring the Pain' is at the top of that list.

Dave Chappelle is probably the most known from the past few years, but dude has been killing the comedy scene since the early 90s'. I recently saw his HBO-Comedy Half-Hour special from 97' and it was bananas.

Damon Wayans was the biggest of all these in the early 90s'. He had tons of specials on HBO, The Last Stand (90) and Still Standing (97) are classics and Way Out from last year wasn't bad either.

Martin took Damon's spot during the mid 90s'. After hosting the first three seasons of Def Jam, put out You So Crazy? in 94.

Bernie Mac has the biggest colt following out the list probably. Too bad he had the least material available with only two Def Jam appearances and 'Kings of Comedy.'

Chris Tucker like Mac, has few material available. Two appearances also on Def Jam and hosted some award shows the past few years.

Steve Harvey stake to fame was hi Showtime at the Apollo gig, which led to an HBO-Half-Hour comedy special, later an hour special, than Kings of Comedy and more DVD's popped up after that.

His buddy Cedric the Entertainer's claim was the second host of BET Comic View. Kings and Ced's Starting Lineup followed. Taking You Higher on HBO from 06 was funny.

The first host of Comic View was D.L. Hughley. But before that he killed One Night Stand in 92. HBO than gave him an hour long special, Coming Home in 99 and a year later, Kings. Another HBO, Unapologetic than hosting Def Comedy Jam in 08.

Eddie Griffin had one of the best One Night Stand ever in 92 off the heels of his Def Comedy Jam performance. HBO came back to years later as he killed HBO-Comedy Half Hour and three years later, kiled again on HBO with VooDoo Child. Dysfuntional Family is a classic.

Tommy Davidson is a very underrated comic now, but people knew about him in the early 90s' as homie had 3 Showtime specials in the span of 5 years. Takin' to DC in 90, Illin' in Philly in 91 and On The Strength of New York in 96.

His ILC buddy DAG had one special on Comedy Central in 2002 called the Book of David, probably some of the funniest shit I've ever seen in my life.

Another ILC buddy, Jamie Foxx, is probably the biggest star here, but is he the biggest star on stage? I've seen all 3 of his HBO specials, his first was very hit and miss (it was his first) and his other two were decent at best.

Tracy Morgan, like DAG had a Comedy Central special in 2002. Also, some funny stuff, I haven't seen his recently released DVD though?

Bill Bellamy, this is a funny cat. I've seen his HBO special Booty Call (the creator of the term by the way) back on Comedy Central years back, and I almost died. Back To My Roots followed almost ten years later on Comedy Central, funny stuff but haven't seen it since it aired.

Mark Curry, hosted Apollo before Steve got there. Had an HBO special in 96, some decent material. Had another funny special on Comedy Central in 99.

Joe Torry took over hosting duties from Martin Lawrence in 94 and 95 for Def Comedy Jam and held hi own. Put out a DVD with his lil bro some years back. Had an BET Comic View special and killed it.

Guy kills it at the many roast he's appeared in.
