Friend who wants disturbing dreams...

K, I have a friend who says he wants to have upsetting dreams, so he can wake up and realize they're not real. Should I be worried? Has anyone in the org ever felt like that? Discuss...

I dream a lot of things that make no sesne, and I wake up like "oookay" but I never go to sleep like oh yeah I wanna have a crazy ass dream'again no. lol It's kinda strange. Dreams can be triggered by so many things.

I once had a dream I had moon pants like Jimmy Page, I ate cheese before bed that night. Many MANY times I've tried to recreate the moment but to no avail sigh

Joining in the thread jack

last night i dreamt that i was on the Falkland Islands (off the coast of Argentina !??!) and the Island was sort of tilted at an angle which made it awkward to walk around on

then i noticed a big river was bisecting the island, then i was in a room sparsely furnished with a married couple i had never met but still on the Falkland Islands

Now if anyone can interpret that i will be impressed razz

Aside from what Calhoun said, I can make no sense of your friend's wish. Bad dreams are AWFUL!!! They're like nature's way of waterboarding us. lol

I'm sorry but your friend is in dire of reality. All this week I have woken up with head aches, and or in tears. I hate upsetting dreams they tend to bring out how the day is going to be.

my friend says the reason to wish for such dreams is so he can wake up and realize that his life is not as bad as that (and moreso, because he doesn't want to have good dreams because they end and then his life.) In his defense, he's struggling like so many others, and I didn't want to "take away his last bone." He's been listening to "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Mis... I, however, want to tell him to do the old bedtime trick of forecasting dreams before going to sleep.

I've never felt this way, but one way he can acheive his goal is to put nicotine patches on( atleast a 14mg one) before he goes to sleep. They are well known for giving people exremely vivid dreams and I can personally vouch for that. The patches did this to me when I tried to quit smoking.
