Rate the last three movies you've seen In the cinema, on TV, or online. They don't have to be new.
Summer Hours (out of five) - Juliette Binoche stars as one of three siblings that must decide on what to do with their valuable childhood home after their mother passes away. Subtle, but excellent. Loved how slice of life this film was and the passing of the torch from one generation to the next to give the house one last hurrah. The Girlfriend Experience 1/2 - I admit the only reason I went to see this film was to check out porn star Sasha Grey play an escort that tries to juggle her personal life with her profession. Shot documentary style and out of sequence, it was interesting and Sasha acted well, but beyond her being cast, I don't see what the big deal would be about this movie. Rudo Y Cursi - Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna are reunited in another bittersweet comedy similar to Y Tu Mamá También about a pair of brothers that rise to fame as football players in Mexico. Hilarious and sad at the same time. rules edit [Edited 6/13/09 12:45pm]

Wristcutters: A Love Story (out of five)
Sweet, lovely, funny, weird and touching. Definitely recommended. Star Wars 1/2 (out of five) The perfect summer movie. Entertaining, pretty, full of action and just enough character development to make you give a shit. Three and a half stars instead of four because it didn't stay with me as long as Wristcutters. It was lots of fun, but kind of forgettable. Enough Silly, utterly predictable, completely implausible, poorly acted, incredibly long buildup to an unsatisfying payoff. Boo. I watched it on TV last weekend, and despite my very low expectations, it still managed to disappoint.

(out of 5 stars)
-- It's an indie film, a brother movie. Mariah plays a singer but manages to stay out of the way of the story. Great ending. Terminator Salvation -- Meh. Star Trek -- 1/2 -- Anyone else grossed out by the Uhuru kissing parts?

C.R.A.Z.Y. - 3/5. Cool movie. Great acting. Good story. A bit too long, though.
The Devil Wears Prada - 4/5. Fantastic acting - Meryl Streep Great clothes. Funny lines. The end was a bit too clichéd. The Rules of Attraction - 4/5 Funny, funny, funny and a bit fucked up as well

I love how random some of the key scenes in the movie are, like the death of the main character and the car accident at the end. Totally against ordinary film rules. Away we Go
1/2 out of 5 stars Just Got back from this! I am a huge fan of the writings of Dave Eggers, I saw he wrote this. I can't believe Maya Rudolph is a legit actor. Imagine That My girlfriend wanted to watch a family movie with her Niece. Was forced to watch this last night. Predictable, but the little girl is adorable and Eddie Murphy has some good improvisatinal moments. But I would save this for a Sunday afternoon viewing on UPN in the future. The Hangover I laughed my ass off! Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona
This movie was not a bad as I thought it would be, but it was not good either. I found the ending to be weak and the movie overall was a bit anti-climatic. The soundtrack was nice though, and Penelope Cruz is a scene stealer, but that wasn't enough. I hate that at the conclusion of the movie no one seems to have gained anything from the entire summer. It left me feeling a tad empty to say the least my score--> 6/10 If you will, so will I

Limits of Control
GAWD! What a bad movie!! I can't say enough, to describe how disappointed I was with this film. The plot was hard to get (if there was a plot at all) and there was a looming feeling of "why?" floating throughout the theater...It was funny, those of us ho sat through the whole movie walked out of the theater after, looked at eachother and laughed because no one "got it". A few "know it alls" claimed to have derived a storyline, but despite their best efforts to come across as enlightened, they sounded moreso confused but not in a good way the positives? The film is shot on location in Spain , there is some nice music in it, and the lovely Paz de la Huerta is naked through out the whole movie if thats your thing...oh yes, and there is a brilliant actor in this who has a brief role, but I won't mention him since he's barely in it my score--> 3/10 , [Edited 6/13/09 23:07pm] If you will, so will I

Inventing the Abbotts
I don't know why I like this movie as much as I do...I guess it reminds me of my youth. I wasn't alive in the 50's but my childhood best friend love this and we'd have to watch it all he time It's a sweet coming-of-age little drama. Nothing special, but whenever it's on I have to watch it my score--> 7/10 . [Edited 6/13/09 22:34pm] If you will, so will I
