I kind of agree. I think he doesn't want you to hate him and wants you to be okay. He may want your friendship as reassurance that he did nothing wrong. YOu can be friends but just keep your distance for a while until you heal. He may honestly not be ready and may never be ready. You just don't know at this point. You are right to not want to have false hope. If you will be his friend then keep it platonic for your own heart's sake. | |
