That's an extremely harsh sentence. Yet convicted rapists who are mentally functional are given less of a sentence. Letters need to be sent to the Judge from the public, requesting that his sentence is reduced drastically or that he gets some form of rehabilitation for a certain time period. It is obvious this guy didn't "understand" what he did was wrong in the eyes of society.

Many convicted felons who commit murder don't even get sentences like that. I have to read more details about this, to find out why he was given such an extremely harsh sentence.

True, those who are mentally functional, and are aware of the rape they commit, should be the ones given harsh sentence. This particular case in this article is a very unfortunate one. What the heck was wrong with his parents that they didn't seek come type of help for this young man? He can't read or write, but they could have tried to seek assistance for him through the years. Very sad situation.
