However a hot looking girl is hot for whatever reason they are hot

Which means sometimes i will see a girl with a certain tattoo(s) and think wow Hot

Other times i will see a girl with a certain Haircut and think wow she is hot

Other times i will see a girl with (add various stuff.....) and think.....hot

Basically Hotness is hotness and you can't really legislate for it smile

if this is the attitude most of you have, I can only imagine how much worse it must be in the real world. I've always wanted a tattoo but I'm nervous about the pain and don't want people to be afraid of me or judge me based on that. I used to want it in a spot where it's not visible but then there's no point.

If you really want a tattoo and it have a very special meaning to you then the pain is worth it.Tattoo pain varies on the size and location. The back of my ear, my ankles, forearm and my wrists weren't painful. My foot, lower back, tomach and ribcage were painful.I thought my ribcage was going to be the worse pain, but it wasn't. My stomach, right underneath the ribcage was some of the worse pain I have ever felt.

To each their own. Who cares what others think, as long as the person with the tattoos is happy and feels sexy it doesn't matter!

BTW Pantagirl the Angelina picture you posted...she's sporting fake tattoos for her role in Wanted. It still looks hot though!

Which ones? I know the ones on her left shoulder/back and the tiger are real!

[Edited 6/11/09 9:31am]

The ones around the writing and directly on the middle of her back were fake...at least I read that somewhere and haven't seen them again confuse

I don't know what I want. When I was a teenager, I was so sure I wanted janet's sankofa and the mj initals from HIStory. Though I'm still a huge fan, I'm glad I never got tattoos of people, or I'll end up hating them, though the idea of getting an mj autograph if we meet and getting it tattooed on sounds awesome too though also obsessive, and I don't want to have to explain it to everyone, cause though I would have it under my clothes, people will still see it if I go for waxing, medical treatment, swimming etc. I want to get a number that I felt always followed me and when I feel I have evolved more spiritually later on in life, I will enhance that tattoo and relate it to my religion. I feel like it's too early to do that right now and not genuine enough.

Tattoos are forever, choose wisely. If not it costs lots of $$$ to have them removed...

Neophyte

I love all four of mine, and I will love the others that I will no doubt get throughout the rest of my life. My tats are memories or thoughts that I want to keep. I don't have any on my lower back, as I haven't found anything that I would want there and to be honest that placement has never really appealed to me.

I have them in places that only show when I want them to as I work in a professional office but I am sure that as I get more they will be more difficult to hide and people will just have to deal with it or look away.

It is not a fad to me, I am a grown woman, who didn't get her first tat until I was 30 - I don't do trends. I wanted one from the time I was 16 but wanted to make sure I got something that meant something to me as it's always gonna be there.

Oh and to the poster who don't like them on Black Chicks? - I missed your post so I don't know exactly what you said...but have you ever watch the National Geographic channel - Black African Chicks have been wearing tats for a hella long time, and this Black Chick rocks hers; so your like or dislike of them on Black skin gets air!!!!

thank you ....that's all i'm saying really

i happen to be around way more black women than white women too and it is just a fad i would like to see go away

not classy at all.....just a stupid fad people jump onto because it is the latest craze

Latest fad? Very poor statements there ignoramus U need to go back to school and learn something because the history of tattoos started over 5000 years ago and is as diverse as the people who wear them! For many men and women it is a vital part of their culture and tradition whilst others appreciate fine art and not to mention the styles and meanings that range from the traditional, vernacular to the sacred and innovative.

I can't imagine my body without my tattoos. They're a part of me, and all but one has a very personal meaning, even if it isn't immediately obvious to a casual onlooker. Yes, even the cartoon character.

Totally depends on the chick.

Someone like Pink totally pulls it off.(a lot of visible ink)

I am not a big fan of the way they look when wearing something elegant or frilly though. Like backless/sleeveless evening gown.
I think if you've got a lot of ink you should work with it (go edgy) when doing a "dressy" look rather than trying to go too soft.
[Edited 6/10/09 22:12pm]

Mary J always looks a hot mess when she's dressed beautifully, dripping in diamonds and her big ass tats are visible. Same with Angelina IMO.

I think tattoos look great when they're visible. It's a pretty narrow definition of classy to say ink isn't included.

One look I love on women (though you have to be physically small to pull it off) is being heavily tattooed while wearing a baby doll dress, bows, and pigtails. The contradiction is just too yummy. love

Small, pigtails, babydoll?
So, like "tattooed little girl" look?

I think tat are beautiful. I have 2. I have 1 on my ankle that I got a long time ago and 1 on my shoulder. I will be getting another on my inside wrist. I got the rose because I was coming into my own person at the time and it is a reminder that I am beautiful person. The 1 on my shoulder is because I'm a Prince fan and I wanted something to state that. I have that Rose Symbol. The that I am getting on my wrist will be the west african symbol for symbol of endurance and resourcefulness. This is dedicated to my mom. She passed away last year.

My shoulder ->

My wrist ->

The thing about that shoulder tat is that unless your fan you would think it was just a stylized rose lol I get a lot of compliments on it. I just smile and say thank you. lol

I never used to actually, until I fell in love with and dated a girl who had small ones on her upper back, shoulder and ankle, and a tramp stamp of kanji, so I guess it doesn't make much of a difference in the end. I still don't like those big arm-length spartan tattoos, they can be kind of off-putting. A gal's glowing flesh is one of the most important elements of attraction for me. I met another girl who had a circuit board inked all over her midriff and back and I just couldn't dock her vibe because of it sad

I love both of my tattoos. One is hidden (on my upperleft back shoulder a heart with my daughters name in it) and on my right side calf part of my leg( feather) both have meaning to me. So it wasn't a fad for me at the time it was my moment that had meaning.

Many people judge people with tattoos assuming they r bad people or have a crime record( and for the record I NEVER have a crime record or been to jail). Sometimes u can look past the tats and see our heart. Many have hearts of gold and is glad to share what the tats on us mean nod

Edited to say I want one more and that is Mickey Mouse on my right shoulder (upper back). I'm a Mickey Mouse nut lol.

to each their own. Some girls look great with them, some don't. Good work always looks better than shit work IMO. None of it really matters though, if the person that has them likes them, that's all that matters, right?

It depends. As others have pointed out, I think you have to have a particular personal style to pull them off. I certainly couldn't rock one.

One thing I don't care for is random tattoos all over the place.

Let's see...I think I'll have a tiger over here...and my boyfriend's name over here...oh! and this Kabbalah verse that I have no idea what it really means over here...and a flower here...and a butterfly here...

I mean...have a plan fer chrissakes! disbelief

I really am afraid of needles! I had a blood test and was terrified of the needle but once it was in, it barely hurt cause I was closing my eyes, looking away and focusing on positive thoughts about my upcoming trip and how awesome it's going to be. The needle was in forever, but I don't know if I could handle it longer if I got a tattoo

does a tattoo hurt like a blood test or vaccine?
