You have a chance to destroy to someone who deserves it. This person is lying to make themselves look good saying they are something they are not. You've discovered proof that would vindicate the fact you've been telling the truth the whole time. Your actions feel ethical in light of the fact this person is lying.

Do you destroy them without regard?

Do you give this person a chance to repent?

If you give them a chance to repent, do you use the truth to strongarm them into confession or a change in behavior??

If so do you allow them to do it their way and on their timetable without acknowledging to anyone publically that you know about the lie?

If they continue lying after you've approached them, and you have proof what they are saying is absolutely the lie of all lies, do you use your proof as a means to coerce them into being honest even though them doing so publicly would destroy their credibility completely?

Is that evil?

Do you just stay silent and let them continue lying their ass off and leave the hornets nest untouched even though the lie is not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things?
