I fucking LOVE the new house!!!

Yeah, so I'm still a broke-ass, but I am way too chipper right now to worry about that. The new place really is that rad. nod

We've got a full house for only $1600/month! woot! There'll be 5 of us by the end of the month, so with everybody paying into rent, that's peanuts.

It's in fixer-upper condition, which pleases the hell out of me because I love fixing stuff. I tried to tell my mother what heaven repairing the basement floor has been, and she offered to send me some Thorazine. lol

I'm also loving how unintentionally green we'll be in this place. No dishwasher, no dryer, no air conditioning, no heat 'til the cold months hit, and plenty of yard we can start up a garden to grow food in. (Which, incidentally, should help out with my situation if I can't find another job)

I am stoked. smile

I could rent you my house in Tampa for $1250 a month with a 2 car garage and everything thrown in including the kitchen sink.

I felt like such crap last week. Shifting into the hew house really has cheered me up, even if overall the situation hasn't changed.

Nope. No dryer.

It's not really a necessity anyways. As long as there's a functional washing machine (there is) and a clothesline we're all good. And given how much energy it eats up I doubt I'd be using it much anyways even if we did have one.

I kinda wish the yard was fenced, but really, for this city the house is already a steal. shrug

open rooms with a window draft makes for great hanging nod
especially if you have an attic
the house i was living in this year had no washer or dryer cloud9

Having lived alone, lived with one roommate, and lived with several people I can definitely say I prefer the last option. I like a busy house. smile

I've never lived with anyone from this particular group of people before, but I can't imagine I'll have too many grievances.

I'll have to admit while we were searching for this house we really were trying to get a place with full laundry facilities. But, fuck it. People have lived for thousands of years without the aid of dryers, and all the house's previous inhabitants did fine without one,

Not sure I could go without a washing machine though, but that's mostly because the closest laundromat is like 10 blocks away and none of our sinks are large enough. lol

I don't have a camera, film or digital.

But I think one of the roomies does. When she moves in, I'll ask if I can steal it for a bit.
