My kids rocked the house last night! My junior high praise band - "Have Mercy" - held its first concert last night. I gotta say, those kids rocked!
We did 10 songs, which were: 1. Born to Love God (our version of "Born to be Wild") 2. Blessed be Your Name (hard rocker by Matt Redman, a Christian artist) 3. No One Like You (another rocker, this one by David Crowder) 4. El Shaddai (mid-tempo song) 5. Mercy (the Duffy song, and it was FUNKY) 6. My God (our version of Prince's "Guitar" and it was FIERCE) 7. Waves of Mercy (a favorite of kids) 8. Shine (a song by the Newsboys, not the Collective Soul song, although we can play that one, too) 9. We Won't Be Quiet (another David Crowder rocker) 10. Gimme Some Lovin' (we tore that song UP) Man, it was so much fun. If the parents are OK with it, I'm going to put the whole thing up on YouTube.

She bought it for a year, but now she's too good at math!

(One Voice One Guitar 1998) How awesome is that! And how did that happen? It sounds so cool! How many takes did he need? How many songs? Wow, what a cool story!

He was besties with a guy who used to do sound for my husband's band, who was borrowing our recording studio, except they ended up liking the acoustics in our kitchen better I think he might have recorded 8 songs in all, dunno if they are all on the EP. Dunno how many takes, just him and his guitar.
