My Grandpa died last night. He was sick, cancer, but it still came very suddenly. He was supposed to come back home from the hospital on Friday, but keeping on breathing and living just became too hard for him last night. He is the first close relative of mine that passed away.

I don't know, I never thought I'd post something like this here, but in some ways this stupid internet site and some people here are part of my life, I guess. So, if you pray I guess I'd like to ask for it or just think about him for a second. And my Grandma. It will be most difficult for her, of course.

He did believe in Heaven very strongly, so let's hope he's where he wanted to be. I hope he's better off now because life became too much of a struggle.

im so sorry for your loss i hope you have the ability to stay near your family right now, something about spending the time with them really does help to heal your heart after a loss like this i think. also, do what youre doing, remember them and hold the memories in your heart - i always think thats the best way to move forward while keeping part of them with you its never easy when we lose someone, i remember looking around at all the people going on with their lives and wondering how one group of people can be so sad and everyone else remains untouched. its silly thinking i know, but somehow i felt very small.

just try to remember that death brings all types of feelings, each one is just fine and normal - and everyday will get a little better from here.
