I love Popeye's fried chicken
I love a well made Angel hair pasta, I love grilled carne asada! Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

Depends. There are times when I need a specific taste, and they vary.
Something that is pretty consistently satisfying, though, is a good, hearty rack of BBQ pork ribs in the perfect sauce, grilled corn slathered in butter and light salt, turnip greens, and baked beans with lots of cinnamon. I eat very little flesh aside from seafood, so on the rare occasion I allow myself a pig or two in a meal like this, it is really a treat. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

sometimes i'm happy as a clam if i have a bowl of white rice with cracked black pepper and a small dollop of sweet and sour sauce on top. sometimes simplicity is comforting, and the pepper and sauce give it just enough flavor to keep me awake.

spicy shit. Mexican, Mexican, Mexican. And not that Tex-Mex garbage. Anything with carnitas, lime juice, cilantro, jalapenos, avocado and GOOD salsa has me believing in God. Chile rellenos, gazpacho, menudo, handmade warm corn tortillas stuffed with cabbage and tilapia. Ice-cold horchata, pickled chili peppers, carrots, and radish slices... :sex:
Or anything and everything my mama makes. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I guess what constitutes "comfort food" for me would be any typical Central American meal that I remember from my travels to Honduras in my youth, or from mom's kitchen;
- mom's homemade flour tortillas - baliadas (a flour tortilla folded in half, filled with refried beans, crema blanca, cotija cheese, and sometimes other stuff like avocado and eggs) - pastelitos (beef-filled empanadas) - nacatamales (central american tamales cooked in plantain or banana leaves) - montucas (sweet white corn tamales) served w/ crema blanca and cheese - tapado (northern Honduran stew with ham, vegetables, and a base of coconut milk) - sweet fried plantains served with refried beans and cheese - enchiladas (central american style; with either ground beef or shredded chicken, cabbage, cheese and hardboiled egg slices on a tostada shell) - yucca con chicharron (yucca with pork cracklings and red cabbage slaw, Honduran style, which I haven't had in over 20 years!!!!) ...man, now I'm STARVING!!!!
