don't flex! shake
deep breathing at all times
maybe have one headphone in and the other out so you can talk to your tat-artist and listen to music at the same time nod

wear something loose and comfortable, or even sleeveless
do everything your artist tells you to do!!! nod

be VERY still.

good luck kotc

oh and take pictures deal

That's an extremely important picture to me nod

His touching the ground symbolizes the moment he 'woke up' and saw the Universe for what it was, unfiltered by bias, consciousness, and discrimination. He awoke.

This one of the symbols for "dependent origination"
Not sure if your buddhist or what you know of buddhism so forgive me
if I seem to be patronizing you, but Dependent is the fundemental
belief of Buddhism and there are more pages of literature devoted
to it than there pages in the Encyclopedia Britannica.

The Buddha said that to know Dependent Origination would be to
know Nirvana.

i dont feel patronized.

to answer your (non) question..im not buddhist.

i have (what i deem to be) a basic understanding of Siddhartha's story, and the basic tenets from classes I took my first year at college (the only class i could bare to go to besides philosophy and english)...alot about buddhism seemed to resonate with what i personally understood jesus' true message to be

i didnt realize until a few years ago but my mother has called me buddha all my life, (as did a friend- jokingly referring to the "eastern" nature of my pov when we would debate life [at least in contrast to his pov]) and when i learned that buddha loosely translated meant "enlightened one" ..i became attached to the symbol (not to downplay the prophet however)

i dont remember

If you are Christian or hold firmly to belief, I would avoid the tat lol

Buddhism on superficially seems to mirror Jesus and his message (the holy 8 fold path being similar to the 10 commandments).

But Dependent Origination states that if you peal the layers of an onion until there are no layers, you'll end up with no onion and no separate 'self. Ergo, there is no such thing as a permanent, separate, 'soul' lol

So fundamentally different despite relatively similar embellishments at the surface.

hmmm

to only use a portion of this piece would be a crime... better to use the entire portrait. So nothing is outta context and all...

do it on a fleshy part of your body.... like your asscheek... but you should post your asscheeks here so we can tell you if your ass will be a good spot.
Legs apart... if things dangle in between that's OK, we won't mind looking.

Yeah, that'll be a good start.... then maybe an entire frontal pic too... just in case the lower abdomen is a better area for the tat.
