What's The Longest You've Ever Stayed Away From The Org?

As well as...

- Why did you leave?

- Why did you come back?

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?

- Did you view the Org differently after being away?

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed?

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?

Just askin' lol nod

- Why did you leave? I usually take a break for 2 weeks to 2 month at a time to enjoy real life, work on my other hobbies, and start enjoying this place again

- Why did you come back? For the entertainment or some of the people.

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time? No didnt have time to

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? Yes, it gives you a better perspective on mental maturity.

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? Of course, all my threads fail now cause no one remembers me! lol

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?
Of course, especially if it interfered with my everyday activities in the real world

Just askin' lol nod

3 weeks once, probably 3 years ago. It was one of those conscious decisions lol that seemed like it would be beneficial but made no difference to my wellbeing.

I dunno. 2 years?

- Why did you leave?
It crashed in 1997 or 1998 for awhile (pre-org), and it took me awhile to get back around to it. I got busy with college.

- Why did you come back?
I noticed it was there.

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?
It wasn't there.

- Did you view the Org differently after being away?
Yeah, there were a lot more wackos

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed?
No idea.

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?
Apparently not.

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?
I didn't notice.

Stayed away for 4 years....

- Why did you leave? Because I wanted to.

- Why did you come back? Because I wanted to.

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time? No I don't lurk. I logged in maybe once per year to update my profile.

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? A lot has changed. There is an increase of bullying and bullshit.

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? To some yes.

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back? Never say never but it's only a website so nothing to stress over.

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here? 5 years ago the org itself oozed with more positivity and now...yah. As for myself I'm very happy within my life with or without the org. Makes no difference to me.

- Why did you leave? generally from losing interest. The threads were becoming totally boring

- Why did you come back? it's a great time killer

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time? no, I just stopped visiting the site

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? not really, it is what it is shrug

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? nope

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back? I agree with what PanthaGirl said here

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?

I left recently starting March 31st. Came back on May 29th

- Why did you leave? When I leave I'm usually out of town or just bored with the conversation...The first time I left,I was gone for about 6 months maybe longer.

- Why did you come back? To see what ya'll are talking about (its usually the same stuff you were talking about before I left)

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time? Lurk briefly

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? yes

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? no

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back? I'm not sure. Maybe if I have a kid or something or a bulk of you die off and I'll be lets with n00bs...

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here? About the same either way

I really have no idea - it's never been important to me to take long breaks away lol

I'm here when I want to be and not too - I Mod when I can/need to and I also take time off from that part of the org

I am not into the gossip or drama so breaks are not really needed on that level - when I have stuff to do or places to go I log off ~ pretty simple

I do not know if anyone notices me here or gone, I am here for Me ...

The org is a community web site - gotta take the shit with the shine knowing that when one joins lol It's still basically the same this month as last yr overall -

I am happier or not depending on my personal world not wether I am on the org or not

Oh yes- I have in me the element to leave almost anything and not look back - it's a powerful part of my personality that can sometimes be a bit scary as well - I am GOOD at detachment lol

- Why did you leave?

- Why did you come back?

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?

- Did you view the Org differently after being away?

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed?

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?

Of course I have noticed since I am busy with school and life, I don't post as much, or do I hang out here for hours at a time, and I don't think people notice I am around as much. lol

- What's the longest you've ever stayed away from the org? About 2-3 weeks.

- Why did you leave? I probably was consumed with work and/or travel and made a conscious decision to take a break from the distraction of the org.

- Why did you come back? It's a comfortable, ready-made social circle.

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?Probably, but fleetingly.

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? Not really.

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? By a few people here and there.

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back? That wasn't really a thought.

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?
Honestly? I think I was generally less happy in that I felt disconnected. But I recall being less directly pissed at issues that cycle through P&R, for example.

I was away for like 5 monthes before, but that was back when I mainly posted in the Prince forum

- Why did you leave? My old computer crashed, and I didn't have a new one

- Why did you come back? I bought a new computer

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time? Occasionally at school

- Did you view the Org differently after being away? Yeah, I decided I wanted to get to know the people here better and be less invisible

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed? No

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back? Nope, this is still the first place I come for Prince info, so even if I didn't post anymore I would still come here to find out what he was up to

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here? As I've gotten to know many of you better, I find I'm happy being able to check the org daily...but I wouldn't be depressed or anything if I couldn't lol

I think I stayed away for about 3 months?

- Why did you leave?
I was too distracted with things I needed accomplished in my personal life. Plus my relationship had fallen apart and she decided to make it a spectacle instead of respectfully just ignoring each other as I would have chosen. lol

- Why did you come back?
photoshop

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?
no. When I leave, I leave for good reason. I don't do it to prove a point or because some moderator is pissy. I remember posting a off-the-cuf joke about Natisse , who left the org, saying that she'd be back again, and she responded to my myspace account 5 minutes later despite having 'left' a month ago. lol Most orgers I know still lurk when they leave. To me it defeats the fundamental reason why I leave--to gain some time back.
Even lollypoprocks and thefrog have returned for very breif stints, though I suspect they don't even lurk here anymore.

- Did you view the Org differently after being away?
no. It's still a distracting waste of time. But entertaining.

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed?
Yes. I think it was because people kept sending me links to threads on myspace and facebook lol about me.

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?
no. Honestly each time I left, I was too busy to think about it. When you're life goes into a tailspin or you need to get something done, entertaining yourself online doesn't actually feel so great.

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?
Makes no difference. I'm leaving again btw falloff, because my life is about to change dramatically in a couple of weeks, and I have to devote 100% of my time to it. I'm very exited about it excited, but won't be deleting my account cause Istenszek just recreates it for me anyways lol. I'm gonna fuck him so hard giggle

- Why did you come back?
realized it was the internet and it's no big deal lol
i was also asked to come back by someone i didn't realize was an orger...

- Did you still lurk or log in during that time?
at first yes, after about a month, no.

- Did you view the Org differently after being away?
nope, same old, same old.

- Did it feel as if your absence was noticed?
no one fucking cared falloff

- Did it feel as if you could leave the Org behind for good and not look back?
yeah i could - because the people i actually speak to can find me outside the org.

- Did you find you were happier when you were here or when you were not here?
didn't notice a change other than i did a lot more
that's when i used to spend literally days on here disbelief

No.

No.
