Like I said, I've never set foot in one myself...but from the creepy things you described...you may just want to. If they don't have 'em by you (any Spanish neighborhoods?) then hop a Grayhound down to the South Bronx or Spanish Harlem and get some "stuff". While you're at it, you can pick up some candles that'll bring you money or love or even make someone go away (as in leave you alone). Not that I believe in that stuff of course...  By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

An "Occult Boutique"...that's pretty much what a Botanica is, with a latin flair of course. In all seriousness though...sometimes you have to respect the fact that we don't know everything there is to know about this universe and that there are forces at work all around us. Faith is a very strong force - whether it be faith in the Crucifix, the power of prayer, earth spirits, Jehovah, Bhuddah, or Joel Ostein. Anyway, hope all goes well and your omens go away.
