oh man don't you hate it when you run out of cheerios and the only thing to eat for breakfast is something you stayed up til 3 a.m. to make the night before just so you'd have it to eat?

But then again that might annoy you. I did that to my gramma once and she popped me upside the head with a rolled up newspaper.

sure!! i looked all over for a good recipe, finally settled on the one from betty crocker - it seems to bake up pretty well... 3 1/2 - 4 c bread flour or all-purpose (if you use all-purpose omit salt) 1/3 c sugar 1 t. salt 2 pkgs of regular or quick active dry yeast 1 c. very warm milk 1/4 c butter softened 1 large egg mix 2 c. of the flour, 1/3 c sugar, the salt and the yeast. add warm milk, 1/4 c butter and egg. beat with electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, scraping bowl frequently. stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. place dough on lightly floured surface. knead about 5 minutes or until dough is smooth and springy. grease large bowl with shortening. place dough in bowl, turning dough to grease all sides. cover bowl loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until doubled in size. dough is ready if indentation remains when touched. gently push fist into dough to deflate. flatten dough with hands or rolling pin to 15x10 rectangle on a lightly floured surface. spread with 2 tablespoons of butter and sprinkle with either white sugar OR brown sugar mixed with cinnamon to taste - note, i used more butter and quite a bit of sugar topping, like maybe 1/2-3/4 c total. roll rectangle up tightly, beginning at 15-inch side. pinch off edges to seal. stretch and shape until even. cut rolls into 15 (1 inch) slices using either a serrated knife or dental floss. put them into a greased 9x13, covering loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place - about 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size. bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. let cool slightly then glaze with vanilla glaze. (powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla to correct consistancy) ***** this is the recipe i use, but i also will do it in my bread maker if i am running out of time or dont want to mix it myself. for the bread maker its as follows... use ingredients as listed, except use 3 1/2 c bread flour, 1 1/2 t. yeast (bread machine yeast), and 1 c room-temperature water for the warm milk. measure carefully, placing ingredients in machine in order recommended by manufacturer. select dough/manual cycle; do not use delay cycle. remove dough from pan. continue as directed above for shaping, rising, and baking. rising time may be shorter because dough will be warm when removed from bread machine. ***** this recipe can also be made into caramel sticky rolls. filling- 1/2 c chopped pecans or raisins if desired 1/4 c packed brown sugar 1 t. ground cinnamon 2 T. softened butter. caramel topping- 1 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c butter - softened 1/4 c corn syrup 1 c. pecan halves if desired. for the caramel rolls, in a 2 quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and 1/2 c butter to boiling, stirring constantly; remove from heat. stir in corn syrup. pour inot UNgreased 13x9 pan, sprinkle with pecan halves. put cut rolls on top of this, bake as directed. let stand 2-3 minutes then cover with upside down serving plate; immediately turn tray and pan over. let remain 1 minute so caramel can drizzle over rolls; remove pan. serve warm. I make them like NAked, but I just buy a frozen bread dough bag and thaw them out, roll 'em out, and put butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and rasins in it and roll it up, cut 'em and put em in the gooey caramel topping I made in the pan.
They get requested every Christmas. I make them so much I could make them in my sleep. I had roomates once that ate them fresh outta the oven with vanilla ice cream The rolls have become like sweet potato cheesecake. I make the two dishes so much I don't really care for them and really can make them with my eyes closed. Come on over, bring some coffee and I'll make you rolls, everyone!

I did it and it killed the yeast. I would leave them in the fridge for only about 8 hours. The dough will stick to the bage, so just grease a pan and spray some saran wrap with cooking spray and place it over the bread and leave them in the fridge to thaw. We'll have juice n tea for the non coffee drinkers!
