Guess who hasn't been able to afford groceries for almost a month? I'm down to the last of the ramen noodles and canned soup, and I'm trying to stretch it out by only eating half at once.

Maybe this is a bad suggestion, but if you are really really hungry you could go to a big supermarket, or Wal-mart and just eat as you walk through the store, then put the food down before you leave and quietly walk out.

You probably won't get caught if you're any good, and if you are spotted the worst that will happen is you'll get banned from the store

Just a few hours north of the 49th. I used to live in Kelowna, in the Okanagan Valley in the BC interior, but even that was only about 4 or 5 hours north of the border. COMPLETELY different climate from here though.

Years before I was born, she and my father were both homeless for a while and they would do things like if they couldn't scrounge up enough money to actually buy food. She said they never got caught, but I suspect store security is better these days.
