Saying "I Love You" Are any of you in a situation like me?
I can say "I love you" with ease to those I truly do love, no problem...girlfriends, lovers, friends, etc. But when it comes to saying it to family, it suddenly becomes harder lol ...My brother and sisters and I have been like each other's best friends almost all our lives...we adore spending time together, always available for all kinds of support and guidance...hell, we vacation together regularly and have a blast doing so. But we almost never say "I love you" lol Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Most of my family NEVER says 'I love you' with the exception of my dad, who tells me everytime we talk on the phone I just don't have a very mushy family, and the love is just implied. It is nice to hear it sometimes though If you will, so will I

Until only the past 2 or 3 years this had been an issue with me also. I have always been able to say "I love you" to relatives, but I couldn't say it first. [Edited 5/26/09 10:52am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

[Edited 5/26/09 10:31am] my brother gave me a hug for the first time in like a decade this year, and even though we're best friends, it didn't feel natural If you will, so will I

I always say I love you to my kids and husband, all day everyday. I just want it to be known and never forgotten, that I love them. I will always remember when my Mom was alive, it blew her away one day when my little 4 year old boy came up to me and said "I love you, Mom" she thought it was odd. She never understood, that you can say I love you to someone, just because.

I can type it on an online forum with no issues.
But with friends or family, I only ever say it if I mean it. And that is rarely It's not something I give out willingly like tender morsels of my cock.

I never say it to family. I do say it to certain friends, but that's a select few. I do love my family, but there's SO much history, it's hard to actually say it.

My son and I say it to each other a billion times a day. I say it to my mom when she says it first. I never say it to my dad or my brothers - even though we are really close.

I say "I love you" all the time - to my mother, my in-laws, my brother, cousins, aunties, kids, and of course my husband. My family's very free with the "I love you"s.

we all say it on the phone all the time, but probably not so much face to face. (my kids are the exception)
