Tyson's daughter passes away after cord accident

Pro boxer Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter was in critical condition Monday after an accident in a central Phoenix home.

Exodus Tyson was discovered hanging from a cord on a treadmill around 10:30 a.m. Monday, KNXV-TV (Channel 15) reported.

The girl's brother found her and then their mother ran into the room to cut her down before starting CPR, according to police.

Fire officials said they took over the CPR before transporting Exodus to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.

Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Hill said it appeared a cord had been wrapped around the child's neck.

ABC15 also reported Tyson arrived at St. Joseph's Hospital in a cab late Monday afternoon, but did not comment before entering the hospital.

I really hope she's OK... for her own sake no doubt, but also because her dad's life has been tragedy after tragedy.

You hear it all the time about cords on sweat jackets...they get stuck on escalators all of the time and could choke a kid...

Hope she's all right.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I've noticed that lanyards often have like a safety release on them. I got a bunch of them from qantas and the aquarium WITHOUT the safety release on them, which I've NOT given to my kids as I'd originally intended. Kids do dumb things, often when parents aren't looking for a minute disbelief

The girl's 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck on a cable attached to the exercise machine at their Phoenix home, police Sgt. Andy Hill said, calling it a "tragic accident."

but if u do- let me know- i usually watch the other channel thumbs up!

in this day and age, there is just no excuse not tohave safety releases- especially as u said, when they are meant to be/probably will be gifts for a child
