NBC has cancelled "My Name is Earl". Good-bye Earl J. Hickey, you will be missed!!!

"To make room for the new [shows], NBC canceled two long-running series, comedy "My Name Is Earl" and drama "Medium," while officially renewing veteran "Law & Order" and sophomore "Chuck."

The dismissal of "Earl" and "Medium," accompanied by Silverman's comments that each of them was "an aging franchise, without a single fan letter, with no passion," didn't sit well with the producers of both series.

That's gonna suck I actually didn't mind this show and have been a fan of Jason Lee since his roles in Kevin Smiths' movies.

Still, they're not as bad as ABC has been. Let's see...they canceled Pushing Daisies & Eli Stone...canceled Life On Mars and the Unusuals and bounced Samantha Who? into cancellation.

FOX, on the other hand, has moved Fringe to Thursdays opposite Grey's Anatomy, the Office and 30 Rock to make way for yet another hour of their stupid pseudo-celebrity dance show and canceled Terminator citing that the show's "trend line wasn't going in the right direction" after moving it from Monday (where it got good ratings) to Friday (usually a graveyard for TV shows).

All them network executive motherfuckers should be fired. Seriously.

I seem to notice that true comedy runs its race and the importance
of reality shows has almost brain washed viewers to expect this type of show
it is to funny of a show to fall off the wall
like scrubs so i hope we see it picked up .

oh god let HBO or Showtime please pick this show up! Earl is awesome and nudity would make it even better!

then again, they can say that with just about every show on tv. even GOlden Girls.

I occasionally watched Earl. It was fun. I can't believe they cancelled The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fortunately Medium is moving to CBS.

As of May 20, 2009, Entertainment Weekly has announced that The Game has been officially cancelled. It wasn't picked up by the CW for the fourth season.

Scrubs was picked up for another season. If Earl gets moved to ABC then it will be just like the old days on NBC.

I liked it the first season, but the second season I realized I wasn't laughing - just watching blankly. I fell off after that...

Everybody Hates Chris has also been canceled after 4 seasons.

Yea, Ive heard that as well, but I think he sensed that he wouldnt be renewed he ended it. I really liked that show but hadnt had the chance to watch it much the past couple seasons at that time slot.
