Depends on a lot of things - who is Suzy to me? Is she skilled enough to get another job (& does she stand a good chance of getting another one)?? Is she a hard worker? Would the bitch do the same for me?? lol

200/mo isn't a great deal so I would think about it, but the person I'm sacrificing for would have to be worth it. I think Byron asking if it's just delaying the inevitable is a great question to raise nod
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

say suzy is about to get laid off. you and 8 of your coworkers can save her job by cutting 5 hours off of your own schedule for 6 months.

would you do it?

If everybody including the boss would, I would.

If the boss and others still walk home royally paid, I wouldn't think that's fair.

Oh, and let me just add, this woman who's job I'm saving?...She better be DAMN worth it lol mad...No quitting 7 months down the road because she got a better offer!! And she has to have 5 hours (at LEAST) cut from her work schedule, too nod...

Or going on maternity leave so I end up doing her work anyway. disbelief

It really depends on the circumstances. There are people on my current team that I would do that for, absolutely.

But say, for example, I know we can get by workload-wise just fine with 1 less person and I don't know that person? Then no, I wouldn't.

Exactly. It's called survival of the fittest. May be cold, but that's the way of the world.

Depends on the co-worker. Some of those motherfuckers, I'd take a pay cut to get 'em fired.

I am also blessed at this time to be able to do it without it causing me any harm. I'd actually appreciate the time off, so yes I would do it.
