WHAT'S YOUR PET PEEVE???

We all have that certain something that just makes us go "GGGRRRHHHHH!!! FUCK THAT ANNOYS THE SHIT OUTTA ME. WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT. WHY DOES THAT HAPPEN!! ETC. ETC."

so what's your pet peeve fellow orgers? I'll start. Oh best believe I have many but here's a teaser. biggrin

My pet peeve is when people bring their gatdang babies to the movie theater. It's bad enough I'm paying damn near $11 for a movie I may not end up liking but to add insult to potential injury I have to smell baby poo diaper and listen to some brat cry and wine at the best parts of the film. Okay it's totally not their fault. I get that they are probably hot, hungry, tired and so forth but COME ON, parents (more specifically mom) if you can't afford a babysitter then stay your ass at home!! finger

Okay... I have 2. One is for the general public, the other is an ORG pet peeve:

1) Dogs in purses in public places. rolleyes
LEAVE THE DAMN THING HOME. If U can't part with the animal for the time it takes to grocery shop, go to the bank, try on a dress at the mall... then set up online service so U and "Fifi" can be together all the time! mad
I was in the bank recently, and this woman had a dog that wouldn't stop barking! She refused to get out of line, and the bank officials acted like they were scared to approach her! WHY?! It wasn't a seeing-eye bag-riding pooch! pissed I'd like to see someone come in with a German shepherd in a piece of rolling luggage and proceed to shop...

2) When people on the Org correct others' grammar/spelling.
IF THEY KNEW WHAT THE PERSON WAS TRYING TO SAY AND MEANING WAS NOT COMPROMISED, WHAT WAS THE POINT?
Does it make them feel better/smarter/more superior to point out others' flaws?
Did it ever occur to them that sometimes people are trying to translate to English? OR MAYBE spelling isn't a strong point, but they have something to say?
It's just rude, people! disbelief

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

I disagree. It's not rude.
It's not to the level of pet peeve for me but I do notice incorrect spellings.

I don't know who the orger is in question, but there are degrees of imperfections . . . just saying.

If it's rude, then no one should point out other instances of when people are wrong or in error right?

So if someone wants to believe that Obama is not black, isn't it rude to say that they are wrong?

Is rude in the eye of the beholder or do we have social norms that dictate what we collectively consider rude behavior?

I have tons, but one of my online pet peeves is people who type "ppl" instead of "people." I have no idea why, but it irks the SHIT out of me. So does "hun." WTF? The word is spelled honey, so why wouldn't the shortened version be "hon"?

So, in summation, ppl who call ppl hun should be shot.

Improper spelling is one of my biggest pet peeves. It really and truly bothers me.
But there are ways to correct someone politely and ways to be a dick about it. And there are times people pick on spelling and grammar when they have nothing better to come back with in a debate.
