one of the best parts of having kids is to be able to relive all the things you've gone through already on your own, but sharing it with them. its really just simple stuff that really gets to me, this past couple days, its been the movie 'dirty dancing'. apparently, out of the HOUNDREDS of movies i have made my son watch, i never made him watch this one

anyway, we watched it for the first time on tuesday - i was hoping that he would enjoy it even though his friends told him it was a 'girly' movie at the end jake said he enjoyed it, but then the next day when he came in from school he was singing one of the songs from the movie lol, he looked at me and said mom, that might have been one of my favorite movies!!!! so we have watched it everyday since then, cant tell you how many times jake has said "NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER" during this week!!


it was great to share this with him, i loved it, and i GOTTA say, while patrick is not the kind of man i am normally drawn to - good LORD he is a sexy man!!!!! seriously, he is a full stack of sexiness and he makes me a lil weak in the knees - was never that way when i was younger really, it was just a good movie but now days im looking at him a different way i guess - but, he is beautiful for sure!

I am like you, I love to share movies that I enjoyed in my younger days with my children Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 16 Candles, Goonies, Footloose, E.T., Gremlins. My kids love those they have also began watchin Fresh Prince of Bel Air reruns and Full House. One of my kids, he's eight likes listening to 80's Prince and MJ. Oh and I like Patrick Swayze too wish him a full recovery.

the fresh prince is a staple at our house, the kids and i used to watch that every night before bed...

and yes, given the current situation, it is very sad watching dirty dancing knowing how sick he is
