what your family thinks of who you date, or bring home to meet them? Some people won't keep seeing someone unless their family likes them, some people don't care what their family think of who they date or see or marry for that matter.

Years ago, when I first started dating outside of my race, my grandmother told me that my family wouldn't accept of me dating a white woman, I told her in so many words to go to !@%^#& Our relationships hasn't been the same since. I'm married to a white woman now because I believe one shouldn't sell his or herself out of being with someone whom they could or do love because their family doesn't approve of them.

I care what they think of who I become serious with in the fact that I hope my family and my love interest would get along and sincerely enjoy each other's company. But luckily I have the type of family that would treat any woman I was seeing as if they were loved and welcomed ...

But I don't need their approval in order to become involved with anyone...their approval wouldn't play any role in whether or not I decided to pursue a relationship with someone. And if they disapproved over something as irrelevant and small-minded as race or ethnicity, then I DEFINITELY wouldn't give two rat's asses whether or not they approved lol ...But again, I could never imagine anyone in my family putting any importance on superficial things like skin color or place of birth or wealth or height or weight or anything other than what type of person they are and whether or not they truly and sincerely loved me.
