TV ONE's "Roast and Toast" series?

It looks like TV ONE just started a new series, the "Roast and Toast." The first honoree was John Witherspoon and it went well. This may become a series on TV ONE al la Unsung. I like these toast because they actually get roaster who actually know John and worked with him.

Who would be some of your choices for future toast?

I'm watching this now. I think that there are more deserving people other than John Witherspoon that should have been roasted first. Paul Mooney being one of them.

Anyway, I love the idea and hope they do more of these. According to Sheryl Underwood on the TJMS, they will be doing more.

That's great. Of course, some of the big names will probably decline being roasted like Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Chris Rock, ect.

Coming up should be, in no order ...

-Dick Gregory
-Paul Mooney
-Robert Townsend
-Arsenio Hall
-Sinbad

I don't think Dick Gregory would do it. Neither would Arsenio.

Arsenio would most def do it, he's hosted a couple of TV ONE specials, so he's already done some things for the station. I've seen Dick do a few Comedy roast, so why not?
