Late winter 2007. To call it winter in Tampa in early November is sort of a joke though. Average day time temperature of 80-something degrees and at night you're lucky if it dips below 70. But I rowed my kayak out to the bay, along the Bradenton beaches and out by a mangrove swamp. I was alone this time, so I could stay out as long as I wanted, and not have to be on anybody's schedule but my own. I witnessed the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico, and it went from yellow to orange to turning the sky completely pink, the large clouds actually looked like huge cotton candy balls stained these magnificent colors. The breeze was warm but starting to cool a bit, slow, and quiet. You could hear the water lapping up against my boat, it was so quiet. As if that was pretty enough already, there was a pod of dolphin about 30 yards away from me swimming by. I don't care what anybody says. The Florida Gulf is one of the most beautiful places on earth, especially when the sun is setting. I sat there and watched the sun sink below the horizon, and the stars come out over this incredible navy blue then pitch black sky. I then paddled my way back, got in my car, and broke up with my ex girlfriend. It was a magnificent evening. LOVE kayaking i'm right now deciding whether to put mine on ebay... haven't used them in ages i'm now leaning towards not

coupla weeks ago i visited a dude i haven't seen in 10 years... we were recording some music together and i started singing some lyrics i wrote years ago.... his girlfriend (i'd never met her before this visit) told me she really liked the lyrics and that she writes poetry.... anyway,..... later in the evening she handed me this laminated coloured paper with a poem on it.... it had flowers and stuff drawn on it kinda like you'd expect a 12 year old girl to do it was a 'love' poem to my friend it started out fairly tame with the generic 'you've made my world complete' type lines... but then.... it stated getting rude.... morphing into details of how she loved it when he threw her against the wall and did her with his big thick 8 inches of manliness... and it just got more and more graphic ... swallowing ... anal... the whole bit my buddy was sitting on the couch... looking mortified... i finished reading it (because i wasn't sure what else to do) and she asked me what i thought.... i said nothing.... absolutely nothing.... for quite a while *shudder* I woulda had SO much to say! And if I'd had a Martini or three in me...lawd, forget it!
