Maybe because they're upset by something, and not necessarily what's going on right there with the people they're being rude to or talking down to. Stresses of the day, insecurities, family problems, or just general unhappiness in life. It doesn't seem like most people would ever choose to be anything other than nice, but something sets them off and when you can't control everything around you what can you do?

This time it feels 100% genuine. The other times there was an element of jest on the surface of it, even though it was genuine underneath.

You make it sound like some kind of voluntary intervention or checking myself into rehab. It's really for everyone that wants to give a little love to someone and to take a moment to consider their behaviour towards others. It's also a running joke thread, but hopefully one that's grown in seriousness since the first tongue-in-cheek incarnation. Honestly though, I think I'm tongue-in-cheek in everything I do anyway, and what appears to be me being mean comes from exactly the same chirpy place me being nice comes from. I think it's understood by those who truly know me that I'm absolutely chock full of love.
