Anyone heard of this or tried it? I put some stuff for sale on Craigslist,and iOffer,and I received a email asking if I had, had any luck selling,and then sent me another email saying that they were making like $800 extra through this GooglePaidMe site. Is there a wya to find out whether this is just a scam or not?

It's not even a direct mail from Google? It's from some third party speaking on behalf of Google at that. Mark that mess as spam and report it to your server immediately. Next thing you know they will have hack your mail based on the smallest amount of personal info you provide, and will start harrassing your contacts and trying to get access to their info and mail contents as well.

It's not exactly a scam, but it's not in any way sponsored or endorsed by Google. It's probably some ad for some information product on how to make money using Google. Basically, that information can be found for free all over the web, albeit in haphazard fashion, but in essence it involves two aspects of Google, AdWords and AdSense. AdSense is where Google pays you to put some code that contains relevant search listings on your website or blog, and Google will pay you money for every click made on those search listings. While it was possible to maybe get rich with AdSense when Google first put it out, the spammers put up a bunch of crappy webpages with AdSense units on them to extract money. Google got wise to this and changed their algorithms, thus eliminating the spammers. At any rate, you only make a few cents per click anyway, and unless you have a website or blog which gets millions of views everyday, you won't make anything more than lunch money on AdSense.

The other way is through Google AdWords, but this is far more complex and is really all about learning online marketing. What actually happens with AdWords is that you pay Google a certain amount of money to market certain keywords to advertise your website or blog. Presumably, you wold have a website which you sell things on to drive traffic to your site and increase your customer base, or you would be a member of an affiliate program for some vendor which pays you a certain percentage of money for every person who buys a product or service from the vendor through your affiliate link. It's far more complex than these "get rich quick" people would have you believe, but you can make a fortune with that. But you have to know what you are doing.

The words Google and paid in an email are a scam. While it technically may not be given a few factors, I wouldn't invest any time in it. Delete, delete, delete.

If it's too goo to be true, it's probably not.

If it looks too good to be true it usually is.

You can contact your local police department and find out a number to call to report a possible scam or check for a possible scam.
