1. i prefer to use word. with a black bg and a mid-grey font color,
font verdana, size 8.

2. i write down ideas, paragraphs and occasional lines. i used to
start "books" but i know now that i'm not ready yet to push out a
complete book or anything over 10 pages.

4. horrible. i read so much and such good authors that they
completely mute me. the more you read the more intimidated you get

For me all of my poems have some part of me in them as do my scripts ( still working on em), start with an idea, a line , a word and the ball rolls

self-publish- work is alllll on you ( still working on it)

my latest it has taken me almost 2 years and not near finished called Love and Atrocities.

Don't edit much, if im in a creative mood it all comes , never write if not in a writing mood

knowing how u want something said but not being able to get it out, hearing bits and pieces in ur head but can't get it 2 paper

1. I use Word. It's just easy for me. I write on my PC, but I have 2 Macs as well with Office. I usually format my page to the margins of a book, so I have a rough idea of how many pages I'm running on as well.

2. It's all about inspiration. One was formulated from these weird voices a friend (female) and I did at work. We gave them names, ,and they ended up being an alter-ego type thing. The story just naturally built itself off these two characters we had created for funnies, and I turned that into a full on play. I'm using the play as an outline for my next book. I can't just conjure up something out of the blue. Like, I can't say "I want to write a mystery. The detective is going to be Bernard, he'll be divorced, 48, and have a dead child." I think a lot of my stuff comes from people I know. They become the toned down version of what I create.

3. I have thought of independent. There are good publishing houses that have a team assigned to you. You can also publish your book to be Kindle ready on Amazon.com and make the lion's share of it. The other publishes houses that let you print it are great, but if you don't sell a lot, you're stuck with a basement full of your baby.

4. The last book I wrote took me five weeks. It's one of those things that I think about, picture in my head, and visualize. Then when I know it's all there, I start to write. It's an unintentional nod to "see it, be". I even do the same when I move the furniture around in my house. I sit and start at things for a few weeks, then when I know exactly what I want, I do it, and get it done. Same with writing. I try not to toil over it too long. I am a fast typer, so I can get it out pretty quickly.

5. I'm probably a bad writer in technique, in that I edit as I type. I'll blurt out a few paragraphs and go back and work on them a bit. However most times it's more abbreviated than that. I usually edit as I go. After 3 or 4 sentences I can know if they are working or not. My brain goes too fast, so I have to edit as I go. You'd think I would just get everything out then go back and rework it, but with the visualizing thing, it's a time crunch in my brain. It's there and I have to get it out. I usually can pretty quickly, editing as I go.

Also, I don't write the book in chapter order. I start with story points and work on just that. Like..I could first write something that's maybe half way through the book, then write the 2nd chapter, then the 7th, then the beginning etc. It's whatever I feel good about that day and what is interesting to me to write. I hardly ever write in order, chapter 1 - whatever.

6. Just wording stuff is my biggest frustration. I try to let the story tell itself, instead of me over doing it. Putting down a lot of words is great but if you're just rattling on and being verbose for the sake of it, then it's all nonsense. Sometimes I think I could end up writing War and Peace if I didn't keep myself in check. But again, I usually know exactly what I want to say so it comes quickly. The book I wrote in 5 weeks was just under 300 pages. In the proof reading, it's been very few edits, other than minor spelling or punctuation.
