Your favorite holiday music As many of us start to do our holiday shopping (or for those poor souls that work retail) it's the beginning of the season for hearing the same ole holiday music over and over and over again.
What are your favorite holiday songs? I really like: "The Little Drummer Boy" Bowie and Bing Crosby "Christmas in Hollis" Run DMC "The Coventry Carol" Alison Moyet "Christmas Time is Here" Vince Guaraldi Trio "Gabriel's Message" Sting "The Chanukah Song" Adam Sandler

My favorite holiday music is the music from the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. I'm firmly planted in denial

I love that too! The Vince Guaraldi Trio did that. I've got the soundtrack and some other Charlie Brown soundtracks. "The Great Pumpkin" also has some wonderful stuff on it.

I hate holiday music. Especially "Silent Night" and "Joy To the World" ...Do you have any idea how annoying it is to play those two, in some fashion, every year for the Christmas concert?
I thought we were getting out of it this year. We're performing "Winter Holiday" featuring "Winter Wonderland" "Frosty the Snow Man" () and "Let It Snow." I can handle the first and latter of the three. Then, we have an entier song..."Sleigh Ride" which I like quite well. And then, Ackerman passed out "Christmas Holiday" featuring every song I hate the most. "Joy to the World" "Silent Night" "Good King Wetgskhgislas" and then "Deck the Halls" I just can't take it! I hate Christmas music. -------
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti... "I've just had an apostrophe!" "I think you mean an epiphany..."

The Charlie Brown Christmas CD is my fave Christmas album...by far. It is totally soothing and beautiful. It's the only Christmas music that doesn't get on my nerves.
I also love Annie Lennox's version of Winter Wonderland. :Xmas:

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"...beautiful and melancholy at the same time, which I often am during the holidays (I'm melancholy, not beautiful...)
"The Christmas Song(Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)"...Nat King Cole is the ONLY one who can sing this song, period, end of discussion... "Same Ol' Lang Syne", Dan Fogelberg...another beautiful and melancholy song...and there's no "happy ending" to the story being sung...I love it.. "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer", Elmo & Patsy...impossible to not smile and sing along when I hear it... "Jingle Bell Rock", Bobby Helms...short, shweet and to the point... ...edit statements make great stocking stuffers...! [This message was edited Thu Dec 5 10:12:51 PST 2002 by wellbeyond]
