That's stupid. Ride on the pavement? 35 mph on a flat piece of road is really going some. Some of you ppl must be really impatient or always late or something.
And MF talking about deliberately clipping cyclists?

It's illegal in a lot of places to ride your bike on the sidewalk. If you're on the road, be prepared to have patience with others making use of the space, or just don't drive. If you don't have the patience to deal with someone using a bike, just take the damned bus.
I really miss riding a bike. But ever since the hit and run a few years back even walking I'm slightly terrified of being near traffic. I don't think I could handle riding a bike. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

i hear ya! it's especially frustrating when their arms and legs get all tangled up in my wheelwell, or when the bike itself lodges in the undercarriage of my car! right?! why don't they squish nicely like regular roadkill?

That said, they need to stay out of traffic and follow ALL traffic rules and laws. Yes! I am all for bikes, and the street is for them, too. But I see way too many of them thinking they don't have to stop for any reason and have the right of way in every instance. Same with pedestrians. Walk, but if you walk with extreme entitlement & no caution or common sense, it just makes me want to hit you! My Legacy

I believe pedestrians should be able to cross the street, yes, but it amazes me how stupid some people are! Even a 4 year old knows to look when you cross the street. My Legacy
