signs that you may be a nerd

• your computer costs more than most of your friends' cars.
  
• you can't use another computer without improving it somehow after you've used it. (upgrades, installing tweak ui, etc.)
  
• you spend more on your music & dvd collection than you did going out in the last year. (extra credit: you take the time to create a detailed list about them.)
  
• you go to concerts 4-6 hours before they start so you can always be front & center.
  
• you can't make a post on any message board without hyperlinking to something.
  
• you do all of the html on your site by hand. (extra credit: you know that html stands for "hyper text markup language.")
  
• your aol instant messenger list has more people in your buddy list that you've helped with computer problems than friends. (though after you've helped them, they consider you their friend;)
  
• you're so proud of your desktop, that you post it for others to look at. (extra credit: knowing how to create the screenshot, and how to upload it somewhere for others to look at.)
  
• you create avatars for others to use.
  
• you have christmas lights in your window all year 'round. (extra credit: you turn them on at night - even in august.)
  
• you'll wait for a movie to come out on dvd before you go to a movie theater that seems to have a screen smaller than your 43" widescreen tv.
  
• you're more into wearing what's comfortable and quick to put on, than what's fashionable (even though you can afford the latter.)
  
• you spend countless hours updating a website that goes mostly unrecognized. (extra credit: you end up being on mtv & the bbc for having your website sued by a well known entertainer.)

signs that you're not too much of a nerd

• you can spell cunnilingus. (extra credit: you know more than just how to spell it.)
  
• you know the importance of whispering.
  
• you like artists from me'shell ndegéocello to led zeppelin. james taylor to miles davis. joni mitchell to prince. (extra credit: you can spell ndegéocello and you know how to type the é symbol without looking at the keyboard (alt 0233). (slipping back into nerd-dom.)
  
• you know all of the good thai restaurants in town.
  
• you love sushi... LOVE sushi.
  
• you've been told you give great massages.
  
• you like to brush her hair. (okay, that's kind of nerdy.)
  
• you know who villeroy & boch are.
  
• you know the importance of high threadcount.
