Question for Org ladies When you gorgeous lasses take it to the gym after work, school, etc, do you wash your face and the make up off? Or do you sweat with mascara streaming down your face?
I myself cannot work out with make up. I go to the gym to get dirty and get down to business. I have no time for cuteness. In class this evening I asked another woman how her eyeshadow stays in place throughout the work out. She just laughed. I saw another young lady that had the full face on and by the end of class looked like a worn out cheap whore. For those that leave the face on, sweat or waterproof makeup or whatever. Why do you leave it on? Are you still trying to look good for the douche bags that work out there? [Edited 5/12/09 17:56pm]

I can't stand to wear make-up, and if I exercised I wouldn't be able to stand wearing it even more

That's exactly how it feels for me. It gets in the way. I would break out the next day anyway.

If I have a foundation on, I think about it so much it makes my skin crawl - like I'm aware of the sensation of it sitting there on top of my skin - I'm compelled to go scrub it off. My wedding day I spend wishing it would hurry up so I could go wash my face it was such a looooong day I feel the same about nail polish That's probably abnormal

I only wear eyeliner and lip tint, and I don't mind working out with those on.
But I do tend to scratch my eyes often, so I probably should wash the liner off If you will, so will I

Ex-Moderator | I don't go to a gym.
But if I'm working out I leave on whatever was on. I only wear foundation (which is totally subtle and most people wouldn't guess I wear it) and eyeliner on a regular basis. And, erm... I rarely sweat, at least not on my face. I don't know if it's genetic or what but it takes a LOT for me to sweat. I've learned how to wipe my eyes so that it doesn't smear any eyeliner all over. So I'm never much of a mess, even after a workout. Of course, if I'm going running first thing in the morning, I don't put make up on just to go for a run. That would be silly. |

Just a little lip cover.

I don't go to a gym either, I usually walk in the park that is close to my house. So I DEFINITELY don't bother with makeup, especially when I know that I'm just going to get all sweaty anyway. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

when i actually manage to lug my fat ass to the gym, i'm not usually wearing makeup
but if it's on, it stays on until i hit the showers afterwards [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

No make-up for me. I'm there to sweat out as many toxins as possible and I need my pores clog free.

Like I come home and my shirt is drenched sweat. Which is why make up and work outs don't do it for me. Foundation would be smeared all over my shirt.

That's exactly houw I feel. I keep a bottle of facial soap in my car all the time so I can wash my face.

Not a lady (depending who you ask ) but a former Makeup Artist so I gotta put in my
Makeup to the gym (not if it was already on, but applied FOR the gym, you can usually tell ) is stupid and borders on giving off a desperate vibe. It's just not the place.

We totally need to do a make up tip forum totally dedicated to questions for our Org make up artist. Just wait John, it will be coming!

Ewww...I can't imagine working out with full fledge gunk on my face. I can get a sweaty gym look without seeing the inside of the gym after wearing makeup for five hours...darn oily/combo skin. If anything, I wear lipgloss in order to avoid chronic lip licking. Only wore eyeliner or mascara a couple of times. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

I don't wear makeup, but the trainer who leads my 'body sculpt' class does. I find it odd. She is really hardcore and powerful. But she also wears a LOT of makeup - foundation, mascara, eyeliner. Even though she sweats a lot, it seems to stay in place.
