Has anybody ever Leased a Car or Know about car leasing...

I was wondering if leases are negotiable. Can you negotiate how much down payment, how much payment at end of lease, and final buying price?

I know a lot of people have to be leasing cars. There are too many people driving merecedes and Bmw. Most people couldn't afford the regular payments.

A regular lease you a just pissing away your money unless you can negotiate how much money you pay upfront and at term of lease.

Can you write off payments on your taxes if you use your car your business?

You can definitely negotiate the "capital reduction" (ie, down payment). I've leased eight vehicles - and never made a down payment. Of course, the fact that I leased several of those from my dad (who owned a leasing company) might have something to do with that. But I haven't done it with any of my other leases since he retired.

You shouldn't have any payment at the end of the lease, as long as you don't go over on the miles and don't beat the shit out of the car. If you go over miles, that charge is non-negotiable. You pay whatever you agreed to in the contract. It is critical that you build enough miles into the lease - miles cost twice as much on the back end as they do upfront.

Finance companies may be somewhat more forgiving on the wear and tear part (if you have a couple more dings than expected), but it depends on your history with them. If you're a repeat customer (and indicate that you'll do additional business with them in future), they'll be more forgiving.

I can't help you with the tax aspect. But I suspect that you can write off at least part of the payment. Talk to an accountant - it probably requires major paperwork every year.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
