When you have a pet, they can't speak and tell you that they love you, of course. giggle But they show it to you in non-verbal ways, such as wagging their tail when you come in the door (dogs), or brushing up against you and purring (cats). They also show it when they want to sit in your lap and/or cuddle with you. I've even heard of animals that lay next to their owner when the owner is sick or is upset about something. mushy


nod They also sort of know you can release their pain when they hurt; they put all their trust in you and let themselves go. And vice versa when your sick, they always stay by your side.
