HAVE U EVER PLEADED GUILTY...

to a traffic violation and paid the lesser fee- which of course puts a conviction on your driving record? Or do you plead not guilty and go to traffic school or court??

Get some legal advice. That way you know your rights and will get the "right" info to your question.

I typically get at least one speeding ticket per year. I always take defensive driving online which dismisses the ticket and you can submit the certificate to your insurance co. for a 10% discount. thumbs up!

I pleaded guilty, got my license suspended for a couple of months and had to pay a fine.
The guy before me had the same violation and was sent to 14 days in jail.

so wait- I can take a class and get it dismissed?

my ticket says I can pay 115 go to traffic school and not get a conviction on my record.

or pay 75 and plead guilty which goes on your record-

or plead not guilty and go to court- but if you are proven guilty they add an additional 100 in court fees plus the original fee

the joka said I ran a red light- he said he knows because he ran it and then I came behind him. i was like WHAAAT?- then he proceeded to say that he had film of it in his car- so I'm thinkin ok- y'all got cameras 360 on the cars now?

I think what you're calling traffic school is the same as a defensive driving class. You need to check with the ticketing office to find out the rules for your state. But in Texas for a minor moving violation like running a red light or speeding as long as it's not 25 miles or more over the speed limit, you can take a 6 hr defensive driving class, submit the completion certificate and reduced fine to the county office where you got the ticket and it doesn't go on your record. Some people like to go to the class, but I prefer to do it at my own pace online. You should just check with them to see what your options are but I'd go with anything that's going to stay off my record because it stays for 3 years and makes your insurance rate go up.
