Ladies and gentleman...What would you consider to be attractive qualities in the opposite sex? I don't mean physically but in terms on personality and general outward expression.

JD, do you mean attractive qualities that are found in the average man/woman? Or qualities that we find attractive when/if found in particular men/women?

It's almost like Prince said in one of his songs got to "bend in the wind without break." The person has to know there are certain limitations for both. It helps to be understanding when it comes to TIME and to laugh at yourself on occassion. When you mess up...and we all do be forthright and apologize with sincereness. Beauty is only skin deep so don't think you're the finest most sexiest body on the face of the earth. Your partner should reinforce those qualities and visa versa. Leta Man be a Man and a Woman be just that A freak in the bed and a Lady on the street. I dunno???

I was thinking along the lines of: "I find facial hair attractive (something generally male)" vs. "I find goatees attractive (something specific to certain men)."

...But I should have read the initial question more carefully. JD's asking not for physical characteristics, but rather personality traits, which are automatically more specific to individuals.

Intelligence; confidence, but still a degree of humility; a cool mix of stereotypical girliness and tomboyishness; a definite personal style; aptitude in a foreign language or on a musical instrument; an ability to physically kick *@#! (just not mine) and still come off as ladylike. These are things I find very attractive in women.
