A 10 year old killed himself last week in one of our schools in the Atlanta metro due to bullying. So sad. Little fuckers. I know if I had kids and that was happening to them, it would take everything in my power not to strangle the little fuckers.

My son lost two friends due to bullying in school, one hung himself, the other shot herself in the head! They were in 6th, and 8th grade!!! My son was only 12 when it happened, and both suicides were 3 months apart! It is awful to think children can be so cruel!

You know what...as a parent I would just have to go to jail....cuz I would knock on their door and beat up their momma if she doesn't stop the shit...I wouldn't let my kid have to become that stressed...

Oprah did a show on the bullying epidemic that is going on in shcools.
I think they did a good job.
They said that the community and the schools needs to take responsibility to stop bullying in schools.

That's great they think the community and the schools should take responsibility for the bullying...but what about the parents??? I feel it starts there! I have seen to many mean kids copy what their parents do! It angers me! My youngest daughter was picked on in school, to the point of wanting to kill herself!!! NO child should have to deal with things like that!!!

I remember something like this happening when I was in school many years ago...and the bullies actually called up the girl repeatedly and taunted her for being suicidal...told her that God didn't love her, and she was going to burn androt in hellfor trying to kill herself. Can you imagine??? disbelief

I remember I was 12 and this 18 year old was picking on me. I was scared to death of her. (it was grades 7 thru 12 school). Finally I fought the biotch....not because I wanted to but because my friend was getting her ass beat by her. But I wasn't stupid about it....I hit her with a metal chair and then beat her with the piece that broke off of the table the chair hit.....I had nothing to lose. I was tired of walking around in fear.

That was the last time I ever let stuff get that far. After that, the second I found out somebody wanted to fight me they had to do it right then and there...I was not one you could bully over time and then get your punk ass friends to join in. Either fight or shut the fuck up...no matter what...you were gonna walk away KNOWING you had gotten into a serious scuffle

Interesting.

Well, I'd say the bullies and the parents are the way they are because they've had their asses kicked.

Yeah, you're right. Let's be nice to the assholes. That'll solve everything.

Yes, that's what I am saying - let's be nicer to them. rolleyes

I couldnt watch it all,,,very disturbing. kids are so friggin CRUEL mad

I was in high school in the 80s, so it may not be quite the same, but some basics never change. I notice that we're not teaching our children to do what I learned instinctively - that when you get backed into a corner by a bully (who bothers you every day), sometimes the only way to make them understand is to fight back. I had a bunch of bullies in high school, who would do the usual things that bullies do, and one day, I was getting a little worse treatment than usual, and I just decided that I'd had enough. He hit me one too many times, and I just took the binder that I was carrying and started to hit him back. He got more aggressive, but I held my ground.

Two years later in my senior year, he and I were in the same home-ec. class, and he was on the football team, but I was razzing him (apparently I'd forgotten that he was the same guy or something) about something football related, and was actually mouthing off to him, which caused him to start up again. But this time it was the girls in the class who called him on the carpet and told him to cut it out (and even started hitting him), and once again he backed down. I guess I earned his respect, because he didn't bother me again, and even let himself get better acquainted with me somewhat.

Multiple choice quiz:

Query: A group of children are bullying and stressinng out my kid to the point that my child is afraid to go to school and is considering suicide. I have attempted to handle this through the school but to no avail. Next, I (choose one) _____

a) I contiue to take my kid to counseling, give him/her antidepressants and ask the teacher to talk to the bullies (leaving my kid to continue to suffer emotional distress as he/she rolls futher down the road towards suicide)

b) I encourage my kid to beat the shit outta the child who is the ring leader. Even if you dont win, just beat the shit outta them. (Perhpas my child will get expelled but with dignity and sense of self intact--and I'll just pony up the money for private school)

c) I approach the fucked up crack headed mom of the ring leader...realizing I might have to first beat her ass if its gonna stop.....

I had to do that in 7th grade to a 9th grader. By that time I was so fed up with being the common whipping post, the Good Lord sincerely had to protect me and her from my own rage...it was not pretty. It's a wonder I didn't end up like "Tyrone" in your siggy...(his name was Tyrone, wasn't it?):

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

C-I-L-L.

falloff that was one of my favorite skits btw

My landlord
