God Bless You. I had to put my 15 year old cat down 7 weeks ago because he developed nerve damage in his back legs and could no longer walk or stand. I still haven't gotten over the loss. I have yet to take up the litter box. It's hard for people who don't love animals to understand that our cats and dogs are like our children. [Edited 5/16/09 9:14am] "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! Okay, so the other day, I'm on the phone with my best friend Fred, who used to be my roommate. Marley ADORED his Uncle Fred and was known to go up to his bedroom door, push it open, and walk around as if doing an inspection. Fred called Marley the Gestapo. If Marley couldn't open the door he would bark at it until Fred let him in. He continued to do this for a long time after Fred moved out. I would have to open the door and let him SEE that Fred wasn't in there before he'd stop. Anyway, Fred tells me how the night before he dreamed of Marley in his new apartment which Marley had never been to. In the dream, Marley is barking frantically and running back and forth from the bedroom to the front door. Fred wakes up confused and goes back to sleep. He immediately starts dreaming the same dream with Marley barking. He wakes up again, goes back to sleep, and the dream happens again. This happened three times. He finally gets up, puts some clothes on and goes to the front door. While standing there he realizes that he left his moonroof on his Jag open and goes down to close it. It rained HARD an hour late. But HERE's the killing part: WHILE he's telling me the story, my puppy Cowboy (he was a foster I had that I decided to keep after finding out about Marley) jumps out of the crate that Marley shared with Prince and starts growling at it.

What an experience for both Fred and Cowboy! Very sweet indeed. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
