It's been raining for the last week here on the East coast with no sun in site, this weather is depressing.

Imma sit here and if the wind picks up I am going outside and THEN if I see a tornado imma run like a freak into the basement don't sit too long dorothy we get them all the time and always at night, I have spent HOURS in my bathtub with my cat and my dog We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. ocean said: Hokie what is ur story Be safe Mach ![]() Where I lived in Mississippi they had a siren that would sound whenever there was a tornado. It's loud enough to hear. About 2 years ago when we were in MS there was a tornado that ripped through my son's school. He was a couple hundred feet away from the path it tore through the school. Scared the total shit out of me. So much so that I ran a mile in the pouring rain to get to him. I couldn't get there by car.

Hmm ... well we would notice the wind because we live on the side of the mountian. We have had just regular storms that sound/feel like the roof is comming off. I don't have much fear issue with storms, actually I have a bit of an unhealthy risk attraction to them In the city, yes, there is an alarm system they can sound but that's about 40 minutes away and we would not hear that I am storm sensitive and usually wake several minutes before they come in - you can see them comming across the mountians and you usually have about 5 minutes from then before they reach our home I'm just not bothered/worried about it I supposed if I am to die that way then that's how I will die

ocean said: Hokie what is ur story Be safe Mach ![]() Our city does not have an alarm system, when they are predicting bad weather I leave the TV on at night and I wake to the LOUD voice from the Ft Worth weather service and listen for my county. Usually they say if you live here take cover now. so I get up. I am very afraid of storms here,I used to love thunderstorms before I associated them with tornados. I am a cali girl livin in the south, I'd take an earthquake any day over a tornado.
