Ok so I'm moving...

...But I have this 'ere new neighbour in the flat next to mine who keeps hammering on the door at silly hours of the morning/night shouting for me to open the door cause I'm hammering on his??? and throwing things against the wall

He clearly has mental health issues.. and IMO should be living in some supported accomodation.

Now bearing in mind I aam moving out shortly, should I report this matter or should I leave it to the next poor bugger who moves in!

I think I know what I'm going to do... I don't want to cause this clearly troubled guy more angst. However, bearing in mind he tried getting into my place tonight he could pose a threat to others.

Opinions please.

When exactly are you moving out??

If it's interfering with your sleep for instance, I would report it to the manager of your flat.

If you can put up with it till you move out, then that's up to you.

U should say something to ur landlord...especially if you think hes a threat. At least he will then know that the new tenant's are legit if they make a complaint.

be safe yourself too
he might be a perfectly wonderful neighbor if he's on his meds.
but landlords need to know what goes on at night, the new tenant should be alerted
and most of all tell the police. tell them you think he has mental health issues
might pose a risk to self or others and that you didn't know who else to call.
