i thought this movie was EL CRAPAMUNDO GRANDE.

i thought it was maybe one of the most poorly written stories i've ever encountered. there were enough plot holes to open a golf course, every time the movie raised the stakes for wolverine something would happen to screw up those stakes, thus screwing up our emotional investment in what's happening to the guy; i can't even imagine why they took some the liberties they did to screw up the established comic book characters for this movie. did diamond skin chick REALLY need to be emma frost? did she REALLY need to be the girlfriend chick's sister?

oh, and OH MY GOD: what was that jacked-up looking professor x at the end? he looked like a goddamn creature from the mothership in close encounters. too much botox? too much CGI? hell, too much MSPaint? was that even patrick stewart? whoever it was, that was one creepy-ass face.

and how many holding-a-body-and-screaming-at-the-heavens scenes did this movie NEED, anyway??? i kept expecting george constanza to scream "KHHAAAAAN!!!", just because it seemed to be the thing to do in this movie.

oh, i hated this film. jackman's diamond-hard butt cheeks couldn't even salvage this mess for me. liev schreiber's cute panda-like face came close to melting the ice in my heart, but too little, too late.

Well as a gay man, Gambit does nothing for me. Not my type at all.

In spite of the amount of creative license they took I was still able to access my inner Xmen geek and roll with it.

Fair enough. But surely you can see the difference in how Gambit's presented and how other male X-characters are. There's almost a cheesecake quality to him you usually only see with female comic book characters.
