Today a new web "TV" series premiered on various sites, including Hulu and Blip.tv ... the Icelandic-American series Circledrawers.
So far the pilot episode is viewable for free on the web but they're offering those who like the show to buy the whole nine-episode series for $2.99 in Quicktime format video.
The show features Sopranos actors Steve Schirripa and Sharon Angela alongside Icelandic actors that are all (at least in the pilot) big names in their home country.
So what's the show about?
(Quoting their promo stuff):
"Oleg, a special emissary has arrived at transmission central in Iceland to do the semi-centennial report on the efficiency of the Circledrawer system.
He introduces himself to the team and begins his analysis of these poor creatures were once human but, due to unproductive or lackluster lives, have been reborn as angels.
They are condemned to complete a near impossible list of 1571 tasks in the hope of being reborn as human once more."

Welcome to world of the Circledrawers - lowly janitors of the Almighty's imperfect system, angels living among us and performing the most mundane of tasks

My opinion on the show:
I think the pilot is kinda intriguing and I'm even considering buying the show online since it's so damn cheap.. $2.99 for nine episodes?
I can barely rent a DVD for that price where I live.
I do find the Russian accent of actor Hilmir Snær (Oleg) kinda laughable though... this particular actor is very popular in Icelandic films and he also does sometimes cameos in popular TV series.....
He's also famous (or infamous) for doing full frontal nude scenes in almost every movie he's in.
This is probably the first thing I've seen him in for a long time that DOESN'T feature his penis on full display.
