Ok so this has never happened to me, I found another Prince fan of all places at my work! There is a lady (Sophia) that has worked at my job for about 3 years, she works in a totally different department, and we have always had wonderful conversations about the usual mom to mom type stuff. We talked kids, what's for dinner, kids school, what's up for the weekend, that kind of stuff. So last night we are both with a group of other's that were stuck working late, and she and I are talking our usual conversation when she starts to talk music. She is 10-13 years younger then me, so I am prepared to hear her tell me about some groups I have never heard of. She starts off her list of favs, and just as I started to feel my age, she says "But my all time favorite performer is, Prince!" My jaw fell, and I looked like this I could not close my mouth to form a word, she thought I was going to bash Prince, so she starts to tell me why she loves Prince...took me all of one minute to close my mouth and get out that I too am a fan! She is probably as much or more of a fan as me! It was so great to find a fan in a everyday normal situation. We talked Prince all night. Just wanted to share, carry on.

I was floored when I found out my 'boss' also loves Prince! His birthday is also the day before mine so it makes sense. He's a handsome fellow from Spain with the most appealing accent. I flooded him with my Prince encounters, concerts, etc. and how I've been on a high since the last concert in March at the Nokia. The most thrilling being when he and I shared the same air at the Roosevelt Theatre in Hollywood. He played all night till 5AM! Prince was just walking amongst his fans a 'small, intimate' crowd - chatting with his background singers. I didn't even realize it till the man I was with asked me if I wanted to take a picture with Prince and I looked at him like, "What!? You're crazy!" And then I saw him...he was 3 feet away from me. It was surreal. Although I knew that Prince didn't like pictures, I could have at least said something to him! Instead I froze. Others did not approach him and I also went with the crowd and said nothing, not wanting to appear to be a groupie. That was one of the most happiest/saddest moments of my life that I will never be able to get back.

I won tickets the day before off the radio. I was ecstatic! I missed the tix because they sold out SO fast. It's been an amazing ride. Prince is my soulmate and he'll (probably ) never know it.
