I have always witnessed teachers, students and other couples, for the majority, go for the guy being taller than his girlfriend or wife. Rarely, I see couples of almost the same height or the girl being taller than the boy. Why is that? Sometimes I am shocked at the hieghts of men and their girlfirends, men being at an average 6ft.+, and women being 4'11 to 5'1.

Can someone please, from experience, tell me why some men go for such short girls and vice versa? Isn't difficult to kiss, or have sex?

I go for big...not too tall..because i love the feeling of "protection" surrounding me. When i get swallowed up by a hug..i feel safe, warm...im tall and lean..my hubby is slightly taller but damn near twice as heavy..built like a "brick house". I cant imagine being with someone my size (unless its prince)

I think you might be a bit off with your averages. I believe that the average height of women is more like 5'3" or 5'4" while men are more like 5'10".

average height in the us is 5'4" for women 5'9" for men...
that said i'm 5'7" and my man is 6'3"

It's simple:

• Tall men like short women - they like to feel dominant & in control, as we all know, & the height advantage only helps.

• Short men w/ a complex like to try conquering tall women. This rarely works for extended periods of time - even if he's boasting a nice fat dick, the complex gets the best of him & he fucks it up w/ his insecurity.
  
  
• Tall women like tall men, but settle for short men as all the tall ones are taken.

Bitter? Of course!! I've never dated a man who was taller than me - they're always around my height or shorter. It's a fucking drag when the man is self conscious about it, making me feel bad for him & put my heels DEEP in the closet. I don't do that anymore though - the shoes come first! Also, I don't want my kids to be 7 footers so maybe I'll have to give up my KG fetish...

Basically, tall women are screwed unless they're supermodels. Blah blah blickety BLAH...

i'm a tall woman...just shy of 6 feet...i usually prefer tall guys (so i don't look like a freak) but i refuse to limit my options and have no problem dating someone shorter...

We had to get used to it because it is not traditional but our families love us and are used to it now after 4 years. We came together under unusual circumstances but wouldn't trade each other for anyone. It's nice to see couples like us, especially when we go out to the city and you get a more diverse range of people. Different height couples DO exist and I doubt they, like us, would appreciate being called freaks. We're just regular people who happen to have a different height ratio than the average couple. People aren't so judgmental if they see you're happy and they get to know you. Though we had some insecurities in the early days, we were always great friends, so it doesn't really bother me or my girlfriend, because we love each other more than life itself and we're determined to stay together and make it work.
