If a bad credit score is 600 or below, then what is a good score and how high does the #s go ?

I think it goes up to 900? At least, when I worked in credit I never saw a score over the 800's and even seeing one of those was extremely rare (I saw it maybe once or twice).

Also - it depends on who you ask about what is considered "good" or not. I've heard above 600, above 640, 700 or above, etc.

Where can you find out your credit score? I tried using that Free Credit Report.com site,and they wanted me to sign up for there program,so every month I would be paying them,that is NOT free.

Equifax is one I know of. They would have your credit history. And you are entitled to a copy to check information to make sure it's all correct. They do make mistakes which can affect your credit.

& Suze Ormond (sp?) said pay only what's due during this financial crisis - keep a running balance so they don't close the account on you (for credit cards)
