But sometimes this kind of comment toward anyone (I don't want to speak only for myself) might sound like restraining someone into his/her nationality/ethnicity. Hmmm semantics i probably shouldn't have picked on the word 'labelling' on my reply the 'label' i wished to apply to you was 'cute' 
If i was in a bar and saw you i would come over and say 'Hi your cute (or some such positive adjective) can i buy you a drink' or some such lame line i wouldn't say 'Hi your French can i buy you a drink' etc 
The 'French' part of my initial comment was me indicating that i had previously noticed you were living in France sometimes guys figure noticing 'stuff' about women is endearing 
i think the moral of my post is thank god i am married cos i obviously have lost the knack of casual interaction with attractive woman  Fair enough Thanks for clarifying!
I got really upset in the past when I read disrespectul comments about the french in here (I got orgnoted about that as well), and maybe that's why I keep a wary eye on what people say constantly. Of course I know clichés about France & french girls do exist for a reason. There is a part of truth in them like french women being compulsorily slags. (That's the truth. Some are, I'm not) Some people often generalize
