A funny lady who will be missed.

I am heartbroken over this. I know she lived an amazing long life but it's just a really sad loss for me in particular....
I used to be ridiculed as a kid because I admitted watching 'The Golden Girls' on Saturday nights. It was watching GG that gave me a half hour of comfort with these ladies who to were like grandmothers. I taped many many episodes and used to literally fall asleep watching GG throughout my life. When they came out on DVD I was first in line to buy. Whenever I was down, depressed (which happened alot in the last few years)..I would pick a season and play and somehow it would make me fell better! I will forever be grateful to Ms, Arthur and the other wonderful ladies for picking me up when I was down. Rest In Peace Pussycat!!! When I look up..I 'll think of you and smile! ... Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Bea was a huge talent... and the combo of she, Betty, Rue and Estelle was noting short of perfect.

Bea Arthur was one funny old chick, she'll be missed by me...well perhaps not sooo much becuse I watch the Golden Girls everyday...so she'll be remembered fondly.
Old women rock because they've been there done that, played all the games, have live more experiences than many of us will ever know and that's what makes them who they are. I'm honored to have older women that I can learn from. I think women reach their prime in their golden years, a time when unfortunately socitety doesn't care as much. So they can just be their true, honest sleves. So many lesson can be learned if you only pay attention. In this country, new is always looked at as better, but I to beg to differ. As cliche as this sounds, I believe that we all age (if done right) like a fine wine and our age accelleration should be celebrated instead of concealed and cosmetically erased. So much knowledge, confidence and wisdom comes from embracing our true experiences and owning them. It would be wise to seek out our elders for advice.

I loved Bea Arthur. I was 6 when The Golden Girls premiered and I loved it from the start and watched it religiously every Saturday night. I loved how Bea as Dorothy would just say something so hilarious and do it in a straight face. I love folks like that. We lost a national treasure with her passing. There will never be another like Bea, for real.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

One of my favorite Bea Arthur scenes from "The Golden Girls".
I love how Bea hollers, "CONDOMS, ROSE! CONDOMS, CONDOMS, CONDOMS!" Too damn funny. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
